SIAS, a non-profit organization founded in 1999 was to resolve the CLOB issue. It is the largest organized investor lobby group in Asia - with close to 68,000 investors as members. It is run by a Management Committee comprised of professional who volunteer their time to actively promote Investor Educations, Corporate Transparency, Corporate Governance and Shareholder Activism.

Today, SIAS is the watchdog for investor rights in Singapore. Committed to investor education. SIAS now provides numerous physical seminars and online investor education and information to much wider audience in and out of Singapore. SIAS has successfully organized over 500 investor education programmes since year 2000 ranging from basic investment seminars for novices to certificate courses for the investment savvy. Thus far, about 50,000 retails investors from these programmes.
